June Ellen Bradley, daughter of an anesthesiologist and a registered nurse, was dissecting frogs at 8 and volunteering at the local hospital.
At Wheaton College, she double-majored in Biology and Political Science. As a collegiate athlete and national finalist in synchronized swimming, she discovered how health and fitness boosted her academic and personal performance.
June Ellen’s perspective on health care is built on individual responsibility, community resources, and institutional support. Her career as an artist and health advocate has taken her around the world, from touring Danish hospitals serving whole foods to experiencing Canada’s MedCan system and working with Ecuadorian Shamans.
Her extensive background includes five years as an Herbalist at the Adawehi Healing Center in NC, creating personalized formulas using local plants. She lived there for 15 years, learning the importance of holistic health. As an art coach at CooperRiis, a healing farm for adults with mental and emotional challenges, she developed a creativity assessment still in use today.
Her work in Agricultural Economic Development highlighted the connection between soil health and human health. She’s also experienced in elder care and physical therapy.
In 2017, June Ellen founded Whole Health Nation to bridge individual and community health responsibilities. The forum provides resources to expand personal health choices and supports local health initiatives.
